Backpacking in Thailand

Your first week in Thailand will be one you’ll never forget.

From exploring bustling Bangkok to visiting ancient temples. You’ll ride an elephant through the jungle and swim under waterfalls. Visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and go snorkelling in crystal clear waters.

You’ll party on the beach and relax with a traditional Thai massage.

And you’ll share the fun, laughs and adventure with new friends!

tuktuktour

Experience the sights, sounds and smells of Bangkok as we travel through the city by Tuk Tuk. It’s a great way to get a feel for the wonderful energy and chaos, as you travel like the locals do.

Chillout and observe Bangkok life from a different perspective as we take a relaxing cruise down the river. You’ll see beautiful temples and dilapidated houses as we wind through the heart of the city. It’s a great way to spend your first afternoon.

We’ll visit Bangkok’s best temples.

Wat Pho - the Temple of the gold reclining Buddha.

Wat Arun - the Temple of Dawn (which we’ll see in the afternoon)

And Wat Benchamabophit - the Temple with the really long name.

We visit The Grand Palace in Bangkok. It’s an amazing collection of temples, royal residencies, museums and is home to the Emerald Buddha.

Here you can learn about Thai history and culture, or just wander round and get some great photos.

Bangkok has some of the best nightlife anywhere in the world. And Thai vodka is some of the worst anywhere in the world. Experience both on a night out to remember.

We believe that the journey itself can be as much fun as the destination. Relax and enjoy the sights of Thailand as we travel across the country by train, then catch a ferry to a tropical island.

Swim in crystal clear green water, walk along soft white sand, or just relax and work on your tan.

Thailand has some of the most amazing beaches in the world and we’ll take a long-tail boat around Koh Phangan and visit some of the best.

We take a short trek through the jungle and end up at a beautiful waterfall where we’ll cool off with a swim.

It’s a wonderful experience that’s well worth the walk.

Note: You don’t have to be fit to do this. You just need a sense of adventure.

We leave Koh Phangan and take a speed boat to the An Thong Marine Park - 42 beautiful tropical islands. Here you’ll get to experience an amazing underwater world as we go snorkelling in secluded bays, go sea kayaking, relax on the beach and take a walk to an amazing turquoise lake.

Note: If you don’t want to snorkel you can just hang out on the boat and eat pies.

Get ready for some action as we go elephant trekking through the jungle. You can even ride bareback on the elephant’s neck. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.

At the end of the week you’ll get to soothe those muscles and relax with a traditional Thai massage.

Kick back with the group for a delicious dinner sampling the best Thai local cuisine.

Then get ready to party as we celebrate our last night, drinking from the ever-popular Thai buckets and dancing until the sun comes up at the beach-side bars.
